Add Student & Staff Attendance

The Attendance Management module allows schools to mark, update, and track daily attendance for both students and staff. It ensures accurate attendance records and helps monitor presence efficiently.

The Add Student Attendance feature is used to mark daily attendance for students and staff based on class, section, or category.

How to Mark Attendance

For Students — Step 1: Select Class and Section

Navigate to Attendance ManagementAdd Student Attendance.

Select Class and Section.

The student list will load automatically.

For Staff — Step 1: View Staff List

Navigate to Attendance ManagementAdd Staff Attendance.

The staff list will be displayed by default.

Use search or filter by category if required.

Mark Attendance

Select the attendance status for each student or staff member:

P

Present

A

Absent

L

Leave

HO

Holiday

HA

Half Day

W OFF

Week Off

Attendance Workflow (ERP Module)
Leave Auto-Applied

If leave is already applied, it will be marked automatically — no manual action needed.

Holiday / Week Off

Selecting HO (Holiday) or W OFF (Week Off) once applies to all students/staff in the list.

Bulk Present Option

Clicking Present (P) will prompt: "Do you want to mark all students as Present?" — select Yes to apply to all, or No to apply individually.

Submit Attendance — Click Submit Attendance. Attendance will be saved successfully.

Important Notes

Before and after marking attendance:

Attendance is marked for the selected date (default: current date).

Once submitted, attendance can be edited on the same day from the Add Attendance section.

For previous dates, attendance can only be modified from the Update Attendance section (for both students and staff).

Update Student Attendance

The Update Student Attendance feature allows you to modify previously submitted attendance records for both students and staff.

How to Update Attendance

Select Date

Navigate to Attendance ManagementUpdate Student or Staff Attendance.

Select the required date for which you want to update attendance.

Select Class, Section, or Category

For Students

Select Class and Section to load the student list for that date.

For Staff

Select Category, or the default staff list will be displayed automatically.

Once selected, the existing attendance data will be displayed. Modify status as required and save changes.

Modify and Save Attendance — Review the displayed records, update any attendance status as needed, then click Save to apply the changes.

Important Notes (Update Attendance)

Rules for updating attendance records:

Only submitted attendance can be updated.

Updated data will overwrite previous records.

Attendance can be updated up to one month only.

Attendance is shown based on the current academic session.

Default ERP session duration is March to April.

Notifications

Parent Attendance Updates via App

Parents receive attendance updates through the SchoolAura app.

Access available via both student and parent login.

Real-time notifications keep parents informed of every attendance update.
