Stop Points

Stop Points define the individual pickup and drop-off locations along each route. Each stop has a specific location, timing, and fare associated with it. The Stop Point List shows a count of all configured stops.

Planning Stop Points Effectively

Sequence stops in the order the bus physically travels.
Set pick times with adequate spacing (minimum 3–5 minutes between consecutive stops).
Drop times should account for school schedule and return journey.
Name stops using well-known local landmarks to help parents identify them easily.
Charges can vary per stop point along the same route — students at farther stops can be charged more. This enables fair, distance-based pricing.

Stop Points — FAQ

Q.How are transport fees calculated?
Fees are defined at the Stop Point level in the Charges (₹) field. Each student is charged based on their assigned stop point. These charges integrate with the Fees Management module for billing.
Q.Is there a limit to how many stop points I can add per route?
There is no system-imposed limit on stop points per route. However, for operational efficiency, it is recommended to keep stop points to a practical number that the bus can service within the scheduled window.
Q.Can two stop points have the same name on different routes?
Yes. Stop points are scoped to their parent route, so the same landmark name can appear on multiple routes without conflict.
